Overview

Intersect MBO is the member-based organization that underpins Cardano’s decentralized governance. Formed to ensure that the Cardano ecosystem remains community-led and self-sustaining, Intersect acts as both a convenor and enabler - connecting developers, Delegated Representatives (DReps), project teams, and members to shape the blockchain’s future collectively.

Through its committees, working groups, and open membership model, Intersect develops governance frameworks, coordinates ecosystem initiatives, and supports transparency across technical, strategic, and financial domains. Intersect operates independently of IOG, EMURGO, and the Cardano Foundation, while collaborating closely with them to deliver on Cardano’s long-term vision.

Intersect is currently administering over 400 million ADA worth of initiatives on behalf of Cardano’s ecosystem and decentralized treasury, while also playing a key role in supporting tier-1 ecosystem integrations and operational coordination across a rapidly evolving governance landscape.

At its core, Intersect is about community governance in action, giving the people who build and use Cardano the power to guide its direction.

The Role

The Delivery Assurance Associate supports Intersect’s delivery assurance activity by carrying out structured milestone reviews for vendor and contributor work.

The role reviews evidence provided by vendors against the deliverables and requirements contained within Statements of Work, helping Intersect establish whether agreed milestones have been appropriately evidenced and identifying where further information or clarification is required.

This is a hands-on junior-to-mid-level assurance role suited to someone who is analytical, technically curious and comfortable working methodically with documentation and evidence.

As Delivery Assurance Associate, you will work on:

Milestone Review & Evidence Assurance

Conduct assigned milestone reviews against relevant Statements of Work.
Review evidence submitted by vendors and contributors against agreed milestone requirements.
Check whether submitted evidence clearly demonstrates completion of agreed deliverables.
Identify missing, incomplete, inconsistent or unclear evidence.
Request further information or clarification from vendors where required.
Maintain accurate records of evidence reviewed, questions raised and review outcomes.
Follow established assurance processes and escalation routes.
Escalate complex, ambiguous or material concerns to the Delivery Assurance & Administration Lead and/or Head of Operations as appropriate.

Vendor Coordination

Communicate directly and professionally with vendors throughout milestone reviews.
Explain clearly where evidence does not sufficiently address Statement of Work requirements.
Follow up outstanding evidence or clarification within expected timescales.
Maintain constructive relationships while applying consistent assurance standards.

Records & Reporting

Ensure milestone-review records remain current, complete and easy to understand.
Record review findings and outstanding actions accurately.
Support regular reporting on milestone-review status, risks and outstanding evidence.
Identify recurring evidence or process issues and raise these with the Head of Operations or Delivery Assurance & Administration Lead.
Contribute to improving assurance templates, guidance and working practices.

Technical Understanding & Development

Develop sufficient understanding of the technical context surrounding assigned work to review evidence effectively.
Work with technical stakeholders where specialist clarification is required.
Build knowledge of Intersect, Cardano and relevant delivery processes over time.
Apply curiosity and structured thinking rather than making unsupported technical assumptions.

Decision-making scope:

Owns:

Completion of assigned milestone reviews.
Accuracy and completeness of review records.
Routine vendor follow-up relating to evidence requirements.

Recommends / identifies:

Whether evidence appears to satisfy documented milestone requirements.
Where further evidence or clarification is required.
Potential delivery concerns identified through evidence review.

Escalates:

Ambiguous or complex milestone requirements.
Significant discrepancies between submitted evidence and Statements of Work.
Material delivery concerns.
Situations requiring technical, contractual or operational judgement beyond the scope of the role.

Experience and attributes

Graduate-level education or equivalent experience in a technical, analytical or related discipline.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Comfortable reviewing documentation and comparing evidence against defined requirements.
Able to understand technical concepts and develop knowledge quickly; a technical, engineering, computer science or similar background would be advantageous.
Strong written communication and ability to document findings clearly.
Comfortable communicating with external vendors and asking for clarification where information is incomplete.
Organised and able to manage multiple reviews, actions and deadlines.
Previous experience in assurance, project delivery, technical operations, vendor management or contract administration is advantageous but not essential.
An interest in blockchain, decentralised technology or technical delivery environments would be beneficial.

Additional strengths (this will strengthen your candidacy)

Experience supporting software, platform, infrastructure, blockchain, or smart-contract delivery initiatives
Understanding of blockchain, Web3, DAOs, or decentralized governance models

This is a remote-first position, with some expectations of travel when required.

Hiring process

The suitable candidate will be selected through a three-stage recruitment process. All interviews will be conducted remotely via Google Meets.

Introductory Call: An initial conversation with our People Team to confirm alignment and suitability for the role.

Formal Interview: A detailed interview to assess experience and fit from both technical and team perspectives. This will likely include a take-home task to complete and present in this interview.

Final Stage: A competency-based assessment and additional opportunity to ask questions.
